All painting should be done between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to avoid the possibility of dew or condensation spoiling the application with temperatures ranging between 40˚F to 90˚F. When working in cooler temperatures, be sure the air and surface temperatures will remain at or above 50°F for at least 8 hours after application.
Yes. The entire surface to be painted; regardless of age, must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased to remove all traces of surface contamination. If the old paint is in good, sound condition, sand it thoroughly smooth with 80 grit paper; solvent clean to remove residue, then apply a coat of Tuff Coat UT-80 Adhesion Primer before painting. Old paint in poor condition must be removed prior to painting.
Yes, we would need a sample color or color code that we can use to create the custom color. However, exact color matches are not guaranteed. Custom colors require a 50 gallon minimum order.
Yes, the product has a shelf life of twenty four months. Due to the high solid’s nature of this product, there will be significant settling that occurs in the can or pail. Stir or shake contents thoroughly to remix any settled material.
Tuff Coat non-skid coatings are required to be applied by Tuff Coat rollers to ensure a uniform finish and proper dispersion of the rubber granules. In areas too large to efficiently roll, a low-pressure hopper sprayer can be used.
